Some unanswered questions from The Flirting Games

Hi all,
I had an email today from a reader of The Flirting Games and she wanted to know the answer to a few questions she had about the characters. I had a little think and then answered them. Then I thought that perhaps some other people might be interested in the answers so I decided to post them here, exactly as asked and answered.  Perhaps other people have more questions? I know I leave my endings a little bit ambiguous, but I always intend to come back to the characters and write more. After all, with so many different students to choose from at Compass Court, the series could run on and on! Anyway, here are the questions asked by Kate, and my answers:

1. How does Jack reacted to Nate and Ellie being together? Because I don't think he knows about them, plus he remembers that he was a TOTAL player before.

Jack is not happy about Nate and Ellie.  He is quite a protective big brother and so he's naturally suspicious of Nate. He hates that Nate is two years older than Ellie and that he is more experienced than her. But when he sees them together and realises how much Nate is crackers about Ellie he relaxes a little. I think he probably had a quiet word with him though, along the lines of: "If you hurt my sister in any way, or do anything I don't like, then believe me I'll put your lights out, I'll be watching...." Nate would be fairly nervous around Jack, but they grow to like each other a lot as Nate and Ellie stay together.

2. How does Gabe's and the rest of Nate's friends react to Nate dating a younger girl?

The boys give Nate a lot of banter about his younger girlfriend. They tease him relentlessly about going out with a "pre-schooler", but actually Jerry and Owen are quite jealous, especially as Ellie is not just pretty but also really fun, and they secretly think she's great. Gabriel is more reserved with Ellie at first, and takes his time letting her become his friend. For a long time he thinks Nate should be with someone older, but he likes how happy Ellie makes Nate, and slowly warms to her. Of course, by book four (Good @ Games) you will see that he and Ellie have good reasons to bond.

3. After Ellie and Nate officially a couple does Melissa Roper come back to sabotage their relationship?

No, Melissa never manages to get between them, she doesn't even try, they are a very solid couple. Although it has to be said that Ellie keeps Nate firmly in check as he can never stop himself from being a bit of a flirt. I think Melissa makes a brief appearance in book four as well, trying to nab someone else.

4. Does Flora finally find her own Boyfriend or does she feel like she's getting pushed out of Ellie's friendship group and get super jealous of not having a boyfriend?

Yes, Flora has a boyfriend of her own by the end of book three, though you will have to read it (and book four as well) to find out what happens there! Sorry. But she and Ellie totally become BFF's and there is no jealousy.

5. At the Christmas half term break does it all kick of with everything Jack and Rose ? (Jack giving Sophie's number to her)

I didn't understand this question. But as you will see in Book Two, it is all about Rose and Leo, but Sophie and Jack do have an on-going story line, which is resolved in book three.

So there we are, and if anyone else has any questions then feel free to ask as this was fun :-)  Stella x
